I started on Facebook in 2015 just sharing my thoughts and putting positivity quotes every Friday, it was my happy writing day! Then about a year later a few of my dear friends told me that I have a writing talent and that they always can relate to my experiences and they love the positivity I bring even on a cloudy day. They have motivated me to start up a public profile on Instagram and go from there early 2017.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
I think Instagram growth gets to me sometimes as I feel like other girls blogging about make up and other lifestyle aspects get a lot more than me. I try not to get annoyed at the numbers game on social media I enjoy sharing my own thoughts and experiences and whoever wants to follow my journey then they are more welcome. I love blogging now I love bright holiday pictures and writing captions/quotes that matter to our daily lives is the main focus I blog about.
First thing I do when I wake up is to stretch for 20 mins then detox my body with a cuppa of herbal/fruit tea. I would then spend about 30 mins to an hour checking my social media, news and general phone messages. I write my daily to-do list including meal plan and house chores. I would then make a good breakfast to start my day as I don’t like eating the first thing when waking up. As I’m finishing a masters in business management I would check my uni emails and plan what topics on my dissertation to work on for the day, then try to focus for at least 4 hours.
A long lunch break to unwind a bit and carry on for another couple of hours, before switching off I would try to plan a few blog ideas/ edit a few of my holiday pictures as I am thinking of changing my Instagram layout. Now that I joined 'The Influencers Diary' I will try to reach out to PRs and email information across. Log off and do housework then work out for an hour and a half, make a nutritional dinner then have a shower and do my daily skin/hair care routine – who doesn’t love a good pampering session. Then relax and chill watching TV before bed.
Finally, If you had one piece of advice to give to other aspiring influencers, what would it be?
Happy rainbow days are always needed but I would appreciate it if we could avoid toxic positivity as brushing off real-life issues doesn’t help anyone I think a lot of followers think influencers always have the perfect colourful life but transparency is a key to connect to people in the right way. Keep shining and doing what we do best as we rise by lifting each other up so please always be kind xx
