About two and a half years ago I started working with small clothing/grooming brands and it grew from there. I’ve always had an interest in fashion, grooming and fitness, this combined with my growing social media following created the perfect creative outlet for me.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
The biggest challenge so far is creating content that’s engaging, and different each time. The thing people forget about influencers is that they are the photographer, producer, editor, director, lighting and stylist. You’re creating an image for a huge brand that needs to look great and capture your audiences eye. It’s actually quite a huge task, which would take a large team to create on an actual advertising campaign.
A typical day would consist of answering emails, sourcing new brands to work with, and planning up coming shoots.
Finally, If you had one piece of advice to give to other aspiring influencers, what would it be?
You will not start off working with huge brands unless you’re really lucky and well connected. Start off with small, independent brands, creating amazing content and work up from there. Also networking is key!
