For so long I yearned on having a travel platform. For me that meant, sharing and being transparent on how cheap and safe it can be for women to travel alone. Since 2017, my journey has grown into a venture which my followers not only look forward to see where I travel? But also what I wear and the latest trends. My biggest milestone has been travelling with my followers. Here I create a safe space for women to travel and create friends with likeminded people.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
More so to do with the current COVID 19 situation. This has been a challenge, for many creators like myself. Planned trips, shoots and projects have been postponed. However, I have managed to become even more creative, using my platform. I have been sharing tips and videos, on how to create an inexpensive home studio for bloggers. Here I have learned how to responsibly use my platform to uplift others.
My typical day that’s a hard one I’m so random, I currently work in real estate doing events that take up my 8:30-5 pm. In the evenings I am usually at work events or, I go for a massage / meet up with friends for dinner. I tend to have a list of places I want to try or activities I want to do and work through them with different friends each month. Sundays are reserved for my sister as I take all of her Instagram photos 🙂
Finally, If you had one piece of advice to give to other aspiring influencers, what would it be?
Stay true and authentic to your brand. During your journey, you will lose some motivation, however, always look back at WHY you started? WHO is your audience? This always helps me keep grounded. May opportunities such as TV appearances& shoots etc have been presented to me, but it wasn’t a brand fit for me. Please remember not all opportunities, are the right one for you.
