This week we catch up with Body Positivity and Motherhood Influencer and VIP Member, Liz (Otherwise known as The Mummy Editorial)
How long have you been blogging and what motivated you to start?
I have been blogging for 3 years as I have always had a passion for writing and connecting with likeminded creators, but I decided in October last year that I would pursue it full time. I have since become a columnist in a Parenting and Lifestyle magazine and have grown my following via my Instagram account. A slow organic following is something I enjoy as I get to know my followers and I know that they trust me - One of the reasons I wanted to start blogging.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
One thing I have found hard but absolutely love doing is going to events and meeting people / networking. Since becoming a mum its easy to loose a sense of who were before so this has been an exciting journey for me. Reconnecting with myself and others.
Whats a typical day like for you?
I try my best to dedicate 3-4 hours a day to my socials. So I will always pre-plan a post in bed the night before so when I wake in the morning I will have a post ready to go. I will then take snippets of our day for my daily stories but always keeping an eye on what’s trending. This is not easy with two little ones running around. I also do make sure I put my phone down throughout the day as its so easy to get engrossed. If I have a commitment or blog to write my husband (who works nights) will take the girls so I can spend time at my desk working.
Finally, If you had one piece of advice to give to other aspiring influencers, what would it be?
Remember, everyone must start somewhere, and it is not about numbers. Do not let your following dictate you and your content. If you have a passion people will see it, you just have to give it time and not give up.
